UMICO PRINT PROCESS

  1. Send print-ready file to art@thisisumi.co via attachment or wetransfer, dropbox, or alternate transfer service.

    — Please include the following information (printed size, borders or full bleed, paper type, quantity)

  2. We will invoice for order, once that is paid we can begin work.

  3. For orders of quantities under 5 prints, we will text or email when your order is done.

  4. For orders over quantity of 5 prints, we will print one first and you can come in and approve, and then we will print the rest.

Please note that it is normal for prints to not exactly color match the original. If you are seeking exact color match please make sure to note this.

FILE SET UP INSTRUCTIONS

When you send files to be printed, please check to make sure they are print ready.

This means we print files exactly as they are sent to us, whether they’re psd, jpeg, tiff, photoshop - make sure the file you send is exactly how you’d like it to be printed. If it is not, we can set it up for you for an additional fee, which starts at $20.

We require files to be 300dpi, at your intended print size. An easy way to check this is to open the file in Photoshop, go to IMAGE and then Image Size. If the resolution is lower than 300dpi at the size you’d like, we recommend printing at a smaller size or adding a white border to make the image size smaller.

If your file is not the same dimensions as you’d like to print it at, we recommend either adding a white border around it, or cropping in on the image to make it fit. See examples below.

Here we have an image that is not the right dimensions for the intended print size. On the left we have the image cropped to be full bleed. On the right we have the image with a border added so none of the photo is cropped.

If you do not have photoshop, you can check the image size by selecting the file in finder, going to FILE and then Get Info. Under the “More Info” section there should be a line with the Dimensions of the image. You can then convert these dimensions into inches, and that will tell you what size the file is.

If you do not have the means to set up a file the way you’d like it to be printed, we can set it up for you for a fee of $20.
